After a life-time of dedication to Hawaiian music, Sonny’s ability to convey powerful emotion through the guitar was unparalleled. From a compositional perspective, it is a stunning exploitation of unisons on the guitar, and may be grouped with two other titles which we have published: “The Good Wife” by Billy McLaughlin and “The Happy Couple” by Michael Hedges. This transcription is based on the extraordinary audio recording Sonny Chillingworth/Sonny Solo (Dancing Cat Records, 08022 38005-2, 1994).
