The printed music for “Fingerdance” is sold as an individual transcription. “Fingerdance” is one of the most joyful of Billy’s two-hands-on-the-fingerboard compositions. It was originally recorded on his first Narada release of the same name (Narada Lotus, 1996, NC 62058). In this recorded version, Billy is accompanied by Marc Anderson on percussion. “Fingerdance” now also figures prominently in both a suite for amplified acoustic guitar and chamber orchestra entitled Into the Light and in new work that Billy has undertaken with a string quartet. These are all welcome additions to the much anticipated development of repertoire for amplified acoustic steel-string guitar with other instruments. When Billy performs “Fingerdance” in a solo concert, he plays over a percussion backup track. This percussion backup track is now available separately from Stropes Editions, Ltd.
Backing track is available for purchase at this link.
