“Across the Street”

Description

The printed music for “Across the Street” is sold as an individual transcription. “Across the Street” is a transformative composition. Its expressive power is achieved, in part, through the use of elegant left- and right-hand techniques. According to Leo, “It was written for a friend of mine in Ljubljana, Slovenia, a lithographer named Seka Tavcar.” This transcription was developed from the audio recording Leo Kottke/Standing in My Shoes (Private Music 0100582146-2) with a few minor changes which bring it in line with Leo’s best thoughts and current performance practice.
