Michael Hedges/Rhythm, Sonority, Silence, second printing
Reconstructing the digital files for reprinting the book has been a daunting task. Thanks go to Brian Burke for his forensic investigation of data files, and to Ben Kammin who resurrected the original music files and reconstructed the right-hand string-stopping notation. Clay Feller, the graphic designer of the original book, replicated the design. I am grateful that the Hedges family was able to provide photos to replace those which were no longer available.
We are happy to be working with the Fox Company, a high-end printer, to replicate or advance the original aesthetics. The limited-edition second printing uses Domtar Cougar paper which, while still maintaining its environmental credentials, will be more durable; it is acid-free and archival quality. Although the original cover stock is no longer available, Matt Fox has engineered a beautiful replacement using Neenah Environment Cover.

In the photo, Clay Feller and Matt Fox are deciding paper weight, cover stock, and ink specifications.
