At Stropes Editions, Ltd. we are charting a new path for
music publishing and music education. Our goal is to
document some of the most significant repertoire
for finger-style guitar.
We measure our success by how effective our publications
are in teaching people to actually play this music.
To this end, the first step is to ensure that the transcriptions are completely accurate and preferably that they correspond directly to commercially available audio recordings. By working directly with the composer, using state-of-the-art audio, video, and computer technologies, and testing the material with students, the result is finished products that work. This, in itself, is revolutionary, but we also increase the effectiveness of our publications by providing a technical support hotline to answer any questions about the material we publish.
Underlying this whole process is the concept of a direct relationship with the people who purchase our publications. This web site is an extension of our philosophy. We hope you will find it to be not only a convenient way to get information about our products, but a valuable resource in itself.
